To qualify for the Aid and Attendance benefit, a claimant must need assistance with at least two of the five Activities of Daily Living. A doctor's evaluation will be required.
These are some of the conditions that qualify:

Being a Fall Risk/Using a Walker
Needing Assistance with Dressing Oneself
Inability to Prepare Meals or Feed Oneself
Assistance with Bathing/Hygiene
Assistance with Toileting or Incontinence
Blindness or Dementia
